As an alternative to grinding discs, mop discs and fibre discs, CC-Grind-Robust incorporates a glass fibre backing pad with a single layer of Victograin abrasive mineral, perfectly placed on the surface of the disc. This dramatically reduces weight whilst improving handling and user comfort, thus reducing operator fatigue.
Unlike flap discs and grinding discs, CC-Grind-Robust is designed to be used with a flat contact angle. This is possible due to the slightly increased conical shape of the disc, eliminating the chance of the spindle and flange nut fouling the work piece. As a result, more abrasive is in contact with the material being processed and surface finish is improved, saving time on further abrasive steps.
Maximising disc life is made possible by trimming. This can be achieved by running the disc at 45° against a file or sharp metal edge until fresh grain is reached.
Pferd CC-Grind-Robust can be mounted directly to angle grinders without the need of a backing pad.
Only the face of the disc can be used for grinding – using the edge is not possible.
Unique grain technology provides a high rate of stock removal on steel and stainless steel – Inox. One of the few abrasive products that successfully removes mill scale.
