• 3M™ Cubitron™ II Fibre Disc 987C offers significant gains in productivity on medium to heavy-duty operations with our exceptionally high-performing 3M Precision Shaped Grain combined with a stiff fibre backing. This disc achieves a higher cut-rate, greater durability, and longer life than with other fibre discs with less grinding pressure. This unique grain avoids glazing by maintaining super-sharp edges throughout the working life of the disc making it ideal for medium to heavyweight applications such as weld removal and edge bevelling.

  Cubitron II products are made with 3M precision-shaped grain developed to deliver higher and cooler cut rates, which lasts significantly longer than other conventional ceramic fibre discs, this ensures increased high performance in all production applications.

  The 3M™ Fibre 987C incorporates a grinding aid which ensure that the workpiece remains cooler, making it ideally suited for heat-sensitive alloys by protecting them from heat damage which helps eliminate re-work. This feature offers increased productivity when grinding on most metals, including stainless steel.

  3M precision shaped grain maintains a super-sharp point that cuts exceptionally fast with much lower working pressures.

  Lasts up to two times longer than other ceramic discs.
