The 3M 4251+ is a ready-to-use, maintenance-free half mask designed for effective and comfortable FFA1P2D protection against organic vapour and particulate hazards found throughout industry. Two large bonded carbon filters lower breathing resistance for the user and their low-profile design give better peripheral vision. The soft, non-allergenic face piece material makes achieving a secure seal much easier for the wearer. The mask is designed to be disposed of after 28 days or sooner if the respirator is damaged, particulate filters clog or gas filters become saturated.

Although commonly referred to as a mask, half-masks with A1/P2 filters are in fact respirators which are designed to provide a better seal to the face and offer much higher levels of filtration compared to simple face masks i.e. surgical masks and reusable basic face coverings.
The A1 classification protects against organic vapours, with a boiling point greater than 65 °C, up to 10 x Workplace Exposure Limit (WEL) or 1000 ppm (whichever is lower)
The P2 classification requires filtration of at least 94% of airborne particles.
Approved to EN 405: 2002 FFA1P2D.
If face fit tested for the 3M 4251 mask there is no need to be re-tested for the 4251+
