Rotary Lasers
When on site, marking out horizontal and vertical reference points to enable subsequent installation of ceilings, door frames and studwork can be a time consuming affair, it can also be a task that requires more than one person if you don’t have the right equipment to hand. Laser levels have become very popular with contractors because they project a long and clearly visible line with which to work from – all at the press of a button.
In applications which require a line to be projected 360 degrees – as the case would be if you were installing a suspended ceiling, nothing is as fast or convenient as a rotary laser level. Rotary lasers use a motor to spin a laser beam fast enough so it can project an unbroken line in a complete horizontal or vertical plane. Rotary laser levels can be used internally, or, when partnered with a receiver, externally too. Red and green beam rotary lasers are available depending on the application and these instruments can also be equipped with other features such as remote control operation and the ability to project both horizontal and vertical beams. Range can also be a determining factor of what rotary laser you require, with some lasers capable of working up to distances of 600 metres with a receiver.
Protrade stock a comprehensive range of rotary laser levels from renowned manufacturers such as Imex and Leica. Imex rotary laser levels also come with a 5 year warranty when registered. For more information you can refer to our guide to rotary laser levels.
