Nilfisk
Nilfisk actually started life as a small electric motor producer in 1906, at that time the company was called Diske & Nielsen. It wasn’t until they invented and patented Europe’s first vacuum cleaner four years later that the name Nilfisk was used – the company has been synonomous with high quality vacuum cleaners and extraction equipment ever since.
Throughout the years Nilfisk has continued to develop and launch many products that we take for granted today. Between the years 1955 – 1962 Nilfisk produced their first upright vacuum cleaner, the first model to take dust bags and a wet or dry machine. As a company focussed soley on cleaning equipment Nilfisk has made strategic aquisitions to expand its product offering. High pressure washers were added to the Nilfisk portfolio by its takeover of Gerni in 1988, pressure washers now form a large part of the company’s turnover.
Further innovations include fuel cell powered cleaners and more recently, an autonomous scrubber.
Protrade have worked with Nilfisk for many years supplying Nilfisk vacuum cleaners, Nilfisk M class dust extractors and Nilfisk pressure washers.
