Mirka
Mirka is a Finnish abrasives manufacturer which specialises in coated and non woven abrasive products used in automotive and woodworking industries. Mirka is best known for its Abranet abrasive, which is created by attaching an abrasive grain to a mesh backing material, producing a coated abrasive with excellent dust extraction properties. Mirka Abranet is widely used in solid surface fabrication and wood processing where large amounts of dust are created during the sanding process. The abrasive net not only promotes safer working for the operator, it extends service life of the disc by reducing clogging. Although primarily regarded as an abrasives manufacturer, Mirka has also developed a select range of portable pneumatic and electric sanding machines with an emphasis on compact and light weight design.
Complimenting their abrasive offer to the automotive sector, the company has a very comprehensive range of polishes and finishing compounds which can be used on paints and composite materials.
