Lenox

Lenox continued to focus on manufacturing hacksaw and bandsaw blades until 1959 which was the year they introduced Lenox holesaws, essentially a bandsaw blade wrapped around a mandrel and welded onto a circular backplate. Just six years later, Lenox blade manufacturing was revolutionised when they introduced an electron beam welder, this enabled them to make the first, American-made Bi-Metal blades. The concept of welding a high speed steel cutting edge, onto a tough, sprung steel backing, has found its way onto virtually every Lenox cutting tool. The Bi-Metal construction and unique tooth geometry of Lenox hand tool and Lenox power tool blades has proven them to be the fastest cutting and longest lasting on the market.
