When Adolf Hafele and his partner Hermann Funk set up their first store in 1923 to supply ‘Products for the hardware and tool industry’, it is unlikely that they imagined it would grow into the worlds leading furniture and fittings company, employing over 6000 people with 37 subsidiaries. Even in 1971, ‘The Complete Hafele’ was the largest furniture fittings reference book in the world and is still regarded as the ‘go to’ catalogue for kitchen manufacturers, bedroom manufacturers and joinery companies. With over 25000 products to choose from, virtually every type of furniture construction method is catered for with new and innovative fittings continually being added.
