Fein power tools and accessories have been synonymous with innovation and quality since 1867. Although regarded as one of the finest power tool manufacturers in the world, the Fein company’s first significant engineering development came, when it improved the transmission quality of the telephone, just months after it was invented by Alexander Bell. Further innovations followed, most notably the invention of the electric hand drill in 1895. Combining an electric motor with a hand tool paved the way for what we now know as electric power tools; just 13 years later Fein invented the world’s first hand held sanding machine.
Many of the power tools we take for granted today, continue to use technology developed by Fein Tools from years ago. The air cushioned striking mechanism found in rotary hammers originated from Fein’s pneumatic hammer, the oscillating saw started life in a tool designed for removing plaster cast from patients and the plastic, split case design which is common place across many power tool brands, all originated from the Fein company.
